The mothers of Ilva and Emilie just told me some amazing news. I will just post their comments here and let them speak for themselves.
This is from Therese, mother of Ilva (15). Started on Imukin February 2014:
“We were at the yearly check up at the hospital in Kristiansand today. The neurological examination shows no progression of the disease since one year ago!!! The neurologist meant it was an effect of the interferon gamma treatment! It was just lovely to see that Ilva were able to perform these tests so well. Also it was very exciting for her to have a confirmation that all the injections are worth it.”

This is from Heidi, mother of Emilie (19). Started on Imukin October 2014. She also has severe cardiomyopathy:
“Emile was at a heart check up last week and the results from the blood tests are amazing. The heart markers have improved significantly since before she started the Imukin treatment. (Both of these markers used to be “sky high” on Emilie.) One is now completely normal and the other one is just close to normal. Also the heart function has improved so the heart is working just fine. We have already noticed that since she does not have chest pain anymore and she has not been in the hospital since last December. A normal year for Emilie would be hospitalization for 5-6 times due to chest pain, so hurray for Imukin!”

The future is not so scary anymore ❤
You can read my very first post about Imukin here and my latest update at my two year anniversary here.
queria tanto que meu filho tivesse a oportunidade de ter estas injeções de imukin…………..que Deus abra portas para este tratamento!!!!
My son was in the study with horizon that has been discontinued. He has been off medication and is seeing a rapid decline in his condition. Is there any source that one would look to buy interferon. He is desperate and his mental state is deteriorating.

Sorry to hear that Peggy 😦
I once reduced the dosage while going on holiday for two weeks, and got worse. I really feel for him.

They encourage you to speak with the study physician about the next step for the participants in the trial. Have you done that?
